We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future. — F. D. Roosevelt

Community service
Our young men give back through food drives, community clean-ups, clothing drives, adopt-a-street, school supplies, and health fairs — learning that taking care of the community they live in is part of becoming a leader in it. Food drives, clean-ups, clothing drives, health fairs — service is how a Knight leads.
The questions every family asks first.
A young man past his ninth birthday, of good character, may petition a Council for membership. He does not need to be the son or relative of a Mason. The Order is not a junior Masonic body — it is a youth organization under Masonic supervision.
He files a petition through any member or the Knight's Secretary of a local Council. His character is vouched for by two active Knights, a Master Mason, or a Majority Knight.
Impressive lessons free from hilarity and horseplay, built around the nine Cardinal Virtues: adoration and reverence for God, love of parents, righteous thinking, purity, patriotism, toleration, courtesy, friendship, and constancy.
Active membership closes with an impressive passing ceremony and a certificate — proclaiming that its holder has had the benefit of superior training under exemplary Masonic leadership. No greater recommendation can be secured by any youth.
